Experiences:

Organization for World Peace – Volunteer (June - Sept 2021)

  • Weekly research identifying conflicts and other humanitarian issues happening around the world.

  • Compiled/summarized the important information about conflict cause(s), current status, key actors, etc., into written reports.

U.S. Census Bureau – Enumerator (May - Sept 2020)

  • Went door to door each day throughout Seattle to enumerate those who had not yet responded to the 2020 Census. Requiring people skills, persistence, and organization.

  • Worked closely with landlords, management companies, and city officials.

  • The Covid-19 pandemic meant that the Census had a compressed timeline and so working quickly and efficiently was key.

  • Census region I worked was able to reach 100% completion with accuracy and ahead of schedule.

Associated Student Government – Participant (2018 - current) 

  • Represent students on the Univ. Academic Affairs Committee were I work to ensure that new classes

    and degree programs are diverse and affordable.

  • Representing the Disabilities Office to ensure the needs of those with disabilities are considered in

    new University programs.

  • Collaborate with Provost’s Office and school Deans to improve the student experience and address

    concerns as Senior Senator liaison.

  • As part of SCU’s Honors program leadership, I work as a peer advisor for both incoming and current

    students, coordinate events, and serve as a student panelist for the Honors program during student tours.

Bloodworks Northwest – Volunteer (2015 - 2018, 300+hrs of service)

  • Assisted donors check-in, complete paperwork, and prepare for blood donation.

  • Observed/assisted patients afterword to ensure they didn’t experience side effects from donating.

National Student Leadership Conference – Participant (summer 2017)

  • Was accepted to participate in two week International Diplomacy and Leadership conference at American Univ. in D.C. run by NSLC.

  • I focused on ways to address the Syrian conflict and the global refugee crisis through the perspective of assigned countries in the form of a model United Nations (I was the UK).

  • Work included efficient, accurate, and team driven conducting of research, analyzing data, compiling and presenting reports.

  • Tasked with managing/overseeing all dining hall operations as well as providing student feedback.

  • Tasked with managing/overseeing all aspects of campus elections.

  • Tasked with overseeing all campus student organizations, determining and allocating funding, and reviewing/approving new applications.
